Tim, I understand that Canadian OHIP is a bit different than what we have in the states but none the less waiting for insurance approval is the pits.  I had so much criteria to meet and do.  Constant calling of doctors offices, making sure information was presented and faxed, getting tests, doing nutritional guidance, losing a small amount before surgery, getting Pats...........and then finally APPROVAL.  It took me 7 months but worth every bit of aggravation.  It will happen for you too.  What will be will be.  Keep yourself busy and try not to think about it every day.  I told myself that if I fretted every day about it that it wouldn't happen.  Then out of the blue I got the call.  Yippee.  This is a waiting game but believe me, well worth it. Hang in there and in the meantime, read all you can, study this board and make friends with all of us.  This board has been a God send to me and it can be for you as well.  Good luck and tons of Hugs, Sue
