Well it is going to happen, it took a life time to get the darn letter from my doctor but he finally wrote it afters a few months and a ton of asking. September 28 is the big date for me. I was told I would be off work for four to six weeks, but that's OK because I am writ ting my paper for my masters. I will have to post some pictures.  |

Congrats on your success. I am having mine in Sept as well. It was suppose to be the 10th, but I have a Girl Scout camp that weekend so I have to change my date. Where are you having yours and with who. Anyway Good Luck

I am having mine at SJMH, with Dr Hing as well. I also have BC/BS and my out of pocket cost is 1K. That because I am having the upper part of my tummy done. They think that is cosmetic, so they wont cover that part.

This is such great news, Ken! I'll be looking for more updates about this! Would you please post in this thread, when you had surgery, what type and how much weight you have lost and what type of reconstructive surgery you are having done?

Ken, I will be thinking of you on your day of surgery because it is the day of my hubbies birthday. I will be having my surgery on October 5 just one day short of my one year ann. I will be in Barix with Dr. Hing and will come home on the ann. of the first surgery. I will be looking to you for help on how to get through this.

I went in the other day and did a pre-testing everything went well, the whole thing took about two hours, same stuff that they did for the lap band.
As for the weight I was 333 lbs in May of last year and right now I am 175 to 180 lbs, it depends on the water weight, I still loose 3-4 lbs a day depending on how hard I work out.
One of the hard parts that i see is that I was told that you need to relax for four to six weeks after with no lifting.
I am just having a tummy tuck, one other thing when they did my blood pressure it was only 116 over 69, that to me was mind blowing.
