Julie and Cindy, what do the Drs think is the reason that you aren't sleeping?  Is it something common after reconstructive surgery?  I remember sleeping 3 or 4 hours after WLS and feeling completely rested and having a hard time going back to sleep.  I thought at the time it was because I needed less sleep due to improving health.  I'm really curious to hear what your Drs think is going on with your sleep patterns.  Julie, is yours just related to the "crawly" feeling?

Rest is very important so prolonged lack of sleep can be detrimental to your health.  Feel better ladies and keep us posted!

It could be a number of things like Multiple Sclerosis, Panic or Anxiety attack, Menopause, etc. But my guess is nerve endings firing off after surgery..a sign you are healing.

I talked to both Dr DiNicks and office and my ob/gyn today.. even on a Saturday.. I just love them...Robbie from Dr DiNicks office who is very knowledgeable says what I am going through is not uncommon..  The medicine prescribed.. is just to relax the nerves on a short term basis while I heal..  I had originally wanted to go back to work this Monday but the way I am now. there is no way I am up to that.. So Dr DiNicks office pushed that back at least a week.. I may have being trying to be a little to optimistic that I would be able to go back to that after only 4 weeks after a major surgery..

I slept last night no creepies.. and I am just going off to bed soon tonight.. hope its another good night.   I am so tired..  Will let you know what tonight holds.. Cindy I hope you sleep soon.. its the pits not sleeping..
